In April 2024, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a final rule under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) that set Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) for six PFAS. EPA derived multiple reference doses for immune, cardiovascular, hepatic and developmental health effects. Their conclusions regarding the toxicity of these compounds are now memorialized through this SDWA regulation.

Join TRC for a special webinar addressing the EPA's key scientific foundation for the promulgated MCLs. Our experts will share their understanding of the scientific literature and stakeholders' comments, which did not seem to have been given adequate consideration prior to promulgation.

Attendees will learn about:

  • The unusual and fast-tracked regulatory process
  • The studies which EPA relied upon to support their position regarding various alleged health effects
  • What the regulation means for toxic tort litigation and the sale of various consumer products

Our presenters will be available to answer your questions on this very important new EPA regulation.
